HI, I’M LEAH (they/them)

I am an actor, screenwriter, and indie producer in Albuquerque, NM, and the Co-Founder of Mirage Media, a media company that produces original short films. I have trained with Sol Acting Studios and By Design—Instinctively Motivated Acting. Known for the role of Cirice in Harbinger.

I’m a life partner, a parent of two, a Leo, a true weirdo, and a perpetual dreamer. I also work as the Communications Director for FUSION. My free time is spent in acting classes, working in as many productions as I can, and generating my own creative ideas.

My love for acting started when I was a child. My sister wrote plays that we performed for our parents and eventually filmed with our old-school, ginormous recorder. I was timid about it initially, but deep down it made me feel alive. I experienced my first rejection when I auditioned for a part as a fairy in Cinderella—turns out I was too short. But that didn’t stop me.

Throughout middle school, high school, and college, I fell naturally into theater and performed in many lead and supporting lead roles. My best memories, when I was the most sincere version of myself, were the times I spent working on those theatrical productions.

I eventually got lost in expectations, in my need to be reliable, and the distance between myself and my love of acting widened. But my resilience always has a way of leading me home. I made it a priority to pave my way back into the world of acting.

Acting has always been, for me, an act of bravery. As a child, it was an opportunity to find a safe place to be all the things I couldn’t be in real life. Now, it is the place where I can be honest and free. And it is, perhaps most importantly, the place where I embrace myself—and the spectrum of humanity—without judgment.

Rebirth always comes. It’s as natural as the change of seasons and it’s my time to grow again. I used to believe I had to give up certain aspects of myself to be a better person, but I am the best version of myself when I am true to my deepest desires and ambitions. I want to create. So that's what I’m doing.
